OUR TEAM

André Morneau’s Legacy

From an early age, André Morneau embodied the entrepreneurial spirit and strong family values that define Groupe Morneau. From driver to president, he transformed the family business into a leading player in transportation and logistics across Québec and Canada.

Under his visionary leadership, the network expanded from 2 to 22 terminals. The company diversified its services with specialized divisions such as Morneau BOREA and Morneau GLOBAL, and united more than 1,200 employees around a shared mission: connecting communities and supporting clients’ growth.

As Chairman of the Board, André continues to guide the fourth generation in pursuing that same path of growth. True to his motto — “I am who I am because of who we all are” — he remains one of the key architects of Morneau’s success and future.

1981

André Morneau, the current President of Groupe Morneau, served as ATQ’s chairman from 1986 until its merger with Morneau Transport in 2001.

1988
The network grew with the opening of four new terminals: Rimouski, Québec City, New Richmond, and Matane.

Groupe Morneau continued its growth by acquiring Transnord Express, a carrier operating in the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region. The group also expanded its BOREA offering with the opening of a terminal in Chicoutimi.

2000
Terminals in Rouyn-Noranda, Val-d’Or, and Baie-Comeau were opened to meet growing demand.

2006
Groupe Morneau’s strong growth led to the expansion of its headquarters in Saint-Arsène, Bas-Saint-Laurent, and the addition of a new administrative center.

2007
Groupe Morneau added two new areas of expertise to its services: international transportation and logistics, as well as dedicated transportation.

2009
Following the opening of the Gatineau terminal, Groupe Morneau reached a total of 15 terminals.
