Groupe Morneau opens new terminal in Saint-Hyacinthe to strengthen its LTL network in Quebec

A strategic expansion at the heart of Centre-du-Québec

Groupe Morneau announces the official opening of its new terminal in Saint-Hyacinthe, a major milestone in the development of its LTL transportation network in Quebec. Strategically located near Highway 20, this terminal strengthens the company’s presence on the South Shore, in Estrie, and in the Centre-du-Québec — a key region representing nearly 30% of the Quebec LTL market. This new facility reflects Groupe Morneau’s commitment to optimizing operations and improving the fluidity of its supply chain across Eastern Canada.

Improved delivery times and enhanced network performance

Thanks to this new terminal, Groupe Morneau is able to reduce transit times between Ontario and the Centre-du-Québec by up to 24 hours. This logistical optimization directly improves overall network performance and enables a faster, more efficient service for customers.

A vision focused on proximity and operational efficiency

“This project represents an important step in better serving our customers and strengthening our network. Saint-Hyacinthe allows us to be closer to the market, more efficient, and better positioned in a context of acquisitions and industry consolidation.”
— Simon Bourque, Chief Operating Officer, Morneau GEO

A strong network across Quebec, Ontario, and Labrador

The new Saint-Hyacinthe terminal complements an already well-established network, where the Anjou terminal remains a central operational hub. Together, these infrastructures ensure efficient logistics flow across Quebec, Ontario, and Labrador.

The opening of this terminal also generates positive economic impacts for the Saint-Hyacinthe region. Several positions will be created, including drivers, dock workers, supervisors, and dispatchers, contributing to local economic growth and job creation in the transportation and logistics sector.

“The opening of Saint-Hyacinthe represents a key step in the consolidation of an agile, integrated, and sustainable network.”
— David Morneau, Co-President, Groupe Morneau
